After over ten years of delivering hot tubs, I was dealing with constant back discomfort that nothing seemed to help. I wasn’t a fan of cold water, but after hearing positive things from others, I decided to give our cold plunge a try. I figured it couldn’t hurt—and to my surprise, it made a noticeable difference. Unlike other methods that offered only temporary relief, the cold plunge helped me feel better throughout the entire day. Not only did it ease my soreness, but it also boosted my energy and improved my mood in a way I didn’t expect. Cold plunging quickly became part of my routine. I now use it about four times a week, first thing in the morning, and have worked my way up to 15-minute sessions in water between 47–52 degrees. I combine it with regular exercise, sauna use, and hot tub sessions for a full-body wellness approach. While it was tough to start, it became something I genuinely look forward to—especially for the sense of relief and clarity I feel when I get out. I recommend it to anyone who’s active and dealing with soreness or tightness. I just wish more people were open to it instead of fearing the cold; it’s truly changed my daily life and helped me return to the activities I love without being held back by pain.
